Back
Using 7mm needles Cast on 55(59,65,69,75,80) sts.
1st Row: Knit
2nd Row: Purl
These 2 rows will be referred to as st-st (stocking stitch).
Working in st-st throughout continue until work measures 34(36,36,36,37,38) cm. Ending with a WS row.
Shape Armholes
Cast off 3(3,3,3,5,5) sts at beg of next 2 rows.
Work 2(2,4,4,4,4) rows dec 1 st at each end of every row.
Work 3 (3,3,5,5,5) rows dec 1 st at each end of next and every alt row. **
Cont without shaping until armholes measure 18(18,19,20,21,22) cm ending with a WS row.
Shape Shoulders
Cast off 7(8,9,9,9,10) sts at beg of next 2 rows.
For 1 st, 2 nd, 5 th and 6 th sizes only
Cast off 8(9,10,11) sts at beg of next 2 rows.

For all 6 sizes
Cast off rem sts.

Front
Work as given for back to **
Cont without shaping until armholes measure 6(6,7,8,8,9) cm ending with a WS row.

Shape Neck
Next Row: k 17(19,20,20,21,23) turn leave rem 28(30,31,33,34,36) sts on a stitch holder.

Work 4 rows dec 1 st at neck edge in every row.

Cast of rem sts.
With RS rejoin yarn to rem 28(30,31,33,34,36) sts and proceed as follows:-
Next Row: Cast off 11(11,11,13,13,13) sts. Knit to end. 17(19,20,20,21,23).
Work from *** to*** reversing all shaping.

Sleeves (both alike)
Using 7mm needles Cast on 32 (36,40,40,44,48) sts.
Working in st-st inc 1 st at each end of foll 7 th row and then each end of foll 6 th row.
Cont working straight until sleeve measures 7cms from beg, ending with a WS row.
Cast off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows
Work 4 rows dec 1 st at each end of every row. Cont until work measures 7cm from start of armhole shaping.
Cast off rem sts.
Cowl Neck
Using 12mm needles Cast on 18 sts
Knit every row until work measures 70 (70,70,72,73,73) cms ending with a WS row.
Cast off.

Edging of front and back
Front and back alike
With RS facing pick up 48(52,56,56,60,60) sts and Knit 15 rows.
Cast Off.
To Make Up
Join shoulder seams.
Fold sleeves in half lengthways, then placing folds to shoulder seams, sew sleeves in position. Join sleeve and side sleeves omitting the front and back edging. Fold cowl neck in half and join cast on and cast off edges.Placing seam to centre of the neck sew evenly across the back of neck and down front neck
