Materials
2 x 50g balls Rainbow Renaissance
3.50 crochet hook

Gauge 12sts and 16 rows =10cm/4" on 7mm needles
Abbreviations
Dc - Double crochet
Ch - Chain
Note 1 : Beginning chain does not count as a stitch
Note 2 : Numbers in ( ) at the end of row depicts number of stitches you should have for that row.

RIGHT GLOVE
Row 1 : Make 48 ch and join first and last chains together (94 chains)
Next row : Work in the round, dc in every ch until 3" or desired length
Next Row : Work 1 round

Thumb Gusset : Increase 1 dc in 1st dc, dc 1, increase in next dc, ( place markers either side of increased stitches) dc to 1st marker. (50dc)
Next : Dc 2 rows straight
Next row : Increase inside the markers of the 1st and last dc on every 3rd row until there are 17 dc between markers (65dc)
Next row : Make 4 ch over thumb opening (21dc)
Next : Work 3 rows, fasten off.

FIRST FINGER : Dc into 1st dc of round and dc 7, make 3 ch and dc 6 dc (16dc)
Next : Work 3 rows, fasten off.

SECOND FINGER : Dc into 1st dc of round and dc 7, make 3 ch and dc 6 dc (16dc)
Next : Work 3 rows, fasten off.

THIRD FINGER : Dc into 1st dc of round and dc6, make 2ch and dc 5dc (13dc)
Next : Work 3 rows, fasten off.

FOURTH FINGER : Dc into 1st dc of round and dc 6, make 2 ch and dc 5 dc (13dc)

LEFT GLOVE
Work as for right glove, increasing for thumb gusset at end of round instead of beginning and reversing the rest of the instructions. (i.e. first finger dc6, make 3ch and dc 7)

Crochet Spikes
Insert hook into the crocheting and the base of the glove and pick up and double crochet 9 stitches forming a circle, and crochet in the round for 3", fasten off and weave in ends.






KELP SCARF


Materials
2 x 50g balls of Rainbow Renaissance
4mm knitting needles
3.50 crochet hook

Gauge 12sts and 16 rows = 10cm/4" on 7mm needles

Dec - Decrease

LEFT BODY
Row 1 : With 4mm needles Cast on 1 st
Row 2 : K twice into this st (2sts)
Next : K 15 rows
Next Row : (right side) K to last st, inc 1st (3sts)
Next : K14 rows straight
Repeat the last 2 rows until there are 15 sts on needle. Ending on a second row.

Next row : Increase 1 st at beg and end of row (17 sts)
Next : K 6 rows straight
Repeat the last 2 rows until there are 31 sts on needle, ending on a second row.

Next row : Cast on 25 sts at beg of row, k to end
Next row : K2 tog, k to end (55sts)
Next row : Cast on 9sts at beg of row, k to end (64sts)
Next row : K2 tog, k to end (63sts)
Next row : Cast on 5sts at beg of row, k to end (68sts)
Next row : Cast off 3 sts , k to end (65sts)
Next row : Increase 1 st at beg and end of row, k to end (66 sts)
Next row : K to end
Next row : Increase 1 st at beg and end of row, k to end (67 sts)
Repeat the last 4 rows until there are 54 sts on the needle, ending on a Rs row.
Next row : Cast off 38 sts , k to end (16sts)

RIGHT NECK EDGE
Next : K 9 rows straight
Next row : Dec 1 st at beg of row, k to end (15sts)
Repeat the last 2 rows until 3sts remain, fasten off.

LEFT NECK EDGE
Next row : Pick up from left edge and k 38 sts, turn and k 2 rows straight
Next row : Dec 1 st at beg of row, k to end (37sts)
Next row : K to last 2 sts, k2 tog
Next : K 2 rows straight
Repeat the last 4 rows until there are 20 sts on the needle
Next row : K2 tog at beg and end of row (18sts)
Next : K 7 rows straight
Repeat these last 2 rows until there are 2 sts on needle
K2 tog, fasten off, weave in ends.

RIGHT BODY
Next row : Pick up from left edge and k 39 sts, turn and k 30 rows straight
Next row : (right side) dec 1 st at beg and end of row (38sts)
Next : K 6 rows straight
Repeat these last 2 rows until there are 31sts on needle, ending on a Ws row.
Next : K 99 rows straight
Next row : Inc 1 st at beg and end of row (33 sts)
Next : K 21 rows straight
Next row : Inc 1 st at beg and end of row (35 sts)
Next : K 13 rows straight
Next row : Inc 1 st at beg of row and k 8sts and turn
Next row : K2 tog, k to end
Next : K 6 rows straight
Next row : Dec 1 st at outer edge, k to end
Repeat last 2 rows until 2 sts remain, fasten off.
Next row : Rejoin yarn, k across the remaining sts on needle, inc 1 st at end (10 sts)
