2 x 50g balls Rainbow Renaissance (Scorched Earth)
1 pair bag handles
Size 3.25mm and 4mm needles

Gauge 24sts and 22 rows = 10cm/4"
Abbreviations
K - Knit
Garter Stitch - Knit every row

Pattern
Using 3.25mm needles cast on 35sts
Row 1: Knit (Garter stitch)
Repeat row 1 until work measures 2.5"/6cm from the beginning

Change to 4mm needles
Next Row: K2, inc 1(knit into the front and back of next stitch), K14, inc 1, K15, inc 1, K1: 38sts
Continue in garter stitch until work measures 13"/32cm from the beginning.
Change to 3.25mm needles
Next Row: K2, K2 tog, K14, K2 tog, K14, K2 tog, K2: 35sts
Continue in Garter stitch until work measures 15.5"/38cm from the beginning.
Finishing
If you wish to line the inside of your bag with a material of your own choice, attach the lining before attaching the handles and sewing up the edges.
With wrong side facing
Thread each end through the bag handles folding over the 2.5"/6cm that was knit on size 3.25mm needles and sew up the edges. These flaps are on the inside of the bag.
Then sew the two sides together, do not sew to the edge of the handles, leave a gap at the top so that the bag can be opened more easily.
