1 pair 12mm needles
1.5cm ribbon
Gauge 10sts and 18 rows = 10cm/4" on 7mm needles
Abbreviations
G-st - Garter stitch (every row Knit)
Ws - Wrong side
Inc - Increase
Foll - Following
Dec - Decrease

PATTERN

Back
Using Size 12mm needles cast on 30 sts loosely
*Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Knit
These 2 rows are referred to as g-st ( garter stitch). Working in g-st throughout continue until back measures 27cm ending with a Ws row.
Place markers at regular intervals along last row as a guide for the ribbon position.*
Shape sleeves
Working in g-st throughout
Inc 1st at each end of 3rd and every foll 2nd row until there are 36sts.
Work straight until work measure 7cms from markers.
Inc 1st at each end of every following 3rd row until there are 40 sts.
Continue working straight until back measures 54cms from the beginning ending with a Ws row.
Cast off loosely.

Left Front
Using Size 12mm needles cast on 15sts loosely.
Work as back from * to *
Shape sleeves and neck
Working in g-st throughout
Inc 1st at beg of 3rd row
Then every following 2nd row (twice)
At the same time dec 1st at end of 3rd row
Then every following 2nd row (twice)
Work straight until work measures 7cms from the markers.
Inc 1 st at beg of every 3rd row at the same time dec 1 st at end of every 3rd row. Repeat twice.
Continue without shaping until Left front measure 54cms ending with a Ws row.
Cast off loosely.
Right Front
Work the same as Left front but reversing the shaping.
To Make Up
Join shoulder seams to back.
Join side seams leaving 19cms open for armholes

Join shoulder seams to back.
