**Using 7 ½ mm needles cast on 56 sts
K 3 rows
The nxt 2 rows form the pattern:
Row 1 : K1. Yo, k2tog to end.
Row 2 : K to end
Cont in pattern until work measures 4" from the beg ending with a ws row
Dec 1 st at each end of nxt row.
Cont in pattern for a further 2".
Dec 1 st at each end of nxt row
Cont in pattern for a further 2". ( measures 8" from beg)
Dec 1 st at each end of nxt row
Cont in pattern for a further 2".
Inc 1 st at each end of nxt row (52sts)
Work in pattern for a further 2" ending with a ws row (12")
Inc 1 st at each end of nxt row (54sts)
Cont in pattern for a further 2" ending with a ws row
Inc 1 st at each end of nxt row
Cont in pattern until work measures 15" from beg
Bo 4 sts at beg of nxt 2 rows, then dec 1 st at each end of nxt 2 rs rows.**
Shape Armhole and Neck edge
Pattern 22 sts , turn and work on these 22 sts
Dec 1 st at each end of nxt row and every other row twice.
Cont to dec 1 st at neck edge on the next row and every other row 5 times.
Cont in pattern until armhole measures 7" ending with a ws row.
Cast off.
Rejoin yarn to rem 22 sts.
Shape the right side of neck as for the left side but reverse the shaping.

Dec 1 st at each end of nxt 2 rows.
Cont in pattern until armhole measures 7" ending with a ws row
Bo 10 sts at beg of nxt 2 rows
Cast off rem sts.

To Make up
With ws facing sew shoulder seams of front and back tog.
Then sew the side seams up to the armhole edge.
With the contrasting colour crochet around the neck edge.

Belt
With 4mm needles cast on 5 sts
St-st to the desired length.
Thread through the garment
